Rachel Skaar
Rachel is an accomplished communications strategist with years of experience shaping high-impact messaging at the intersection of clean energy, climate, and public policy. She currently serves as Director of Communications at the Solar Energy Industries Association.
Prior to that, she served as Deputy Communications Director for U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Tom Carper (D-Del.) and as Press Secretary for Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet’s (D-Colo.). She started her career on former Montana U.S. Senator Jon Tester’s (D-Mont.) successful 2018 reelection campaign.
In her free time, Rachel runs a small freelance portrait and event photography business.
Rachel is originally from Montana and holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University.
